Entrepreneurs Vital to Growth

Tony Goodwin, Chief Executive of Antal International, was one of more than 100 business people invited to attend a meeting early this month with the Prime Minister.

David Cameron spoke of the importance of SME’s and enterpreneurs to the revival of the UK economy. Goodwin told Recruiter that during the meeting in Maidenhead, Berks, organised by StartUp Britain, a campaigning organisation of entrepreneurs, the Prime Minister responded to a range of questions from the audience.

These included questions on taxation, heatlh and safety, and the importance of local government for job creation.  Goodwin said he came away from the meeting convinced that Cameron understood that “entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of the economy and vital to any revival from the current malaise we are in”.
